Walk of Life, Walk for Life

Greetings!

Thank you for visiting our Blog, Distance Walkers Philippines (DWP) - where we combine the health benefits of walking with the social aspect of a club and travel to places on foot, instead of just walking around in circles.

DWP wants to add a new twist to the mundane physical act of walking alone the same familiar neighborhood, by going places as a group, not to compete or race but to add a degree of adventure and accomplishment if only because you have never done anything like it before. 'Togetherness' lends a sense of belonging and confirms the idiom that there is safety in numbers - after all, leaving our comfort zone presents some degree of risk that makes the endeavor exciting and the camaraderie and fellowship more fulfilling at the end of it all.

This new experience is holistic, not just physical but also socio-intellectual that should lead to something pleasurable after receiving personal gratification from a new source.

We hope one day you will be able to tell how you were able to walk the whole stretch of EDSA - from the Monumento Circle in Caloocan, all the way to the Mall of Asia in Pasay, and commemorate it in a t-shirt that says, "I have conquered EDSA!" This is the kind of 'bragging rights' that will want us to make new plans and set new targets in the future.

DWP, not just a walking club but an adventure club that aims to make life more exciting.
